You're most likely right, William.

What kind of secret or scandal would possibly be huge enough? Perhaps only a plan to bomb one of our cities?

My belief is that it would take a fundamental and obvious conflict between the interests of the U.S. and those of Israel, with AIPAC on the wrong side of it. I admit that it's hard to see what that might be, since Israel's outrageous provocations of Muslims in general, and Arabs in particular, have already cost us dearly, and Israel has already been caught spying on our government numerous times, and has, among other things, insulted and threatened our military officers at gunpoint, murdered our civilian citizens, and bombed our ships.

I doubt that Israeli bombs falling on Iran would cause even a single eyebrow to be raised over here; I doubt we'd blink if they bombed France or England. Maybe if they bombed Dearborn, or Dallas/Fort Worth, we might get a little pissed, but I'm by no means sure that even that would do the trick. Senator Lieberman would probably just point out that a lot of Arab immigrants live in those places, and that would be the end of it.

As for sex scandals, graft and the rest of it, consider the prosecution of Ehud Olmert for influence-peddling, or the case of Moshe Katsav. Nobody over here even said boo.

I've got nothing... well, almost nothing.

What we need is a good old-fashioned scandal involving AIPAC, not one with just money being grubbed, but one with some really unsavory sex that even Republicans cannot ignore. Something like the Clinton/Monica story. Aren't there some rumors about some of the higher-level Israelis in government or in the military and their particular sexual pecadillos?

Something that would neutralize AIPAC's power?

The inference I drew from it, and presented here, is more or less that Netanyahu is informing that upstart Obama: All your Congress are now belong to us.

As if he didn't know it already. They're just putting him on notice that AIPAC never sleeps, and that it's not wise to pretend that it does, even in an Arab capital, and even for strictly rhetorical purposes.

That was one of the more offensive, and lie-filled "resolutions" I've read since the last attack on ACORN. I heard a bit about it, but after having read the despicable thing, I'm hitting the bottle even harder than usual. This is the voice of the people being heard? Sheesh.
