    OK. That’s sufficiently cryptic to keep me puzzling for the rest of the day. Can I buy a referent for a quarter (the “joke” a professor I once had offered wrt his exam questions). Since that aphorism seems to apply to Democrats, Republicans, and the political process in general – as well as a chunk of life – I’m not precisely sure where you have aimed your arrow.

      Architecture isn’t the queen of the arts, ambiguity is. But, okay, if parse we must: the idea here is to focus on the image, take a deep breath, and ponder what it tells you that the spin doctors won’t. Dorian Gray was a master of disguise compared to these guys. And yes, Democrats as well — think of the famous picture of Secretary of State Clinton with her cell phone, her briefing books, and her delusions of grandeur, snapped as she labored away in the bowels of a military aircraft on its way to who knows where. My Dad had a saying, quite common amongst the working class heroes of his day: He puts his pants on the same way I do, one leg at a time. Aphorisms from a vanished America….
