Whoo boy, is that pic a gut punch. The only people who seem like they want to be there are the Saudis, and the American in the top row whose head is half cut off by the framing. What a metaphor THAT is! Musk looks like he’s slogging just to get to the other side. Even Trump’s smile looks incredibly fake, which is kinda something considering all the fake smiles he’s faked over all his life.
Musk is a tormented soul in the way that only someone who doesn’t believe he has a soul can be tormented. Trump reveals the guilty smirk of someone caught with his hand so full of cookies that he couldn’t pull it out of the jar quite fast enough when retribution appeared suddenly in the kitchen doorway. Huang displays the intoxication of greed, Bin Salman the intoxication of sadism.
That they’ve all found a home in the United States of possibility doesn’t speak well of our respect for ourselves.
A second comment, because it didn’t seem right to include with the first:
Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with light, love and all the things you love to eat!
There are yet things to be thankful for, yes. Knowing what they are is a blessing—all the blessing we need, really. Here’s wishing you and yours a happy and feastful Thanksgiving as well!
